What to include in your first message

Tell us the municipality where the work is located and whether your enquiry concerns a home, an existing building, a business property, public space or land preparation. Explain the change you want to achieve in a few sentences. Approximate areas or lengths are useful, provided they are identified as estimates. Mention whether you have architectural drawings, a technical project, a topographical survey or information about the ground. If these documents do not exist yet, say so; that is relevant information rather than an obstacle to making an initial enquiry.

Documents and photographs

Plans and photographs can help explain the visible conditions, access and intended layout. Avoid sending documents that are unrelated to the project or contain unnecessary personal information. In the first message, you can list the documents available and ask how best to share larger files. A photograph should ideally show both the detail of the issue and its wider surroundings. For example, a drainage problem is easier to discuss when the relationship between the building, the access route and the surrounding levels can be understood.

Projects in Girona and enquiries from abroad

We prioritise projects in the Girona area and welcome enquiries from owners and project teams based elsewhere. If you live outside Spain, state your preferred language and whether a local representative can coordinate access to the property. For proposed work in southern France, include the precise location and scope so that feasibility and applicable requirements can be reviewed. An initial exchange is intended to define the next step; it is not a confirmed booking, a fixed quotation or an agreement to a start date.

When sending revised information, identify what has changed rather than asking the recipient to compare several unnamed files. Clear document names and a short explanation help everyone work from the same version.
